Conor’s life hasn’t been easy this past year. His mother is battling cancer. Everyone at school treats him differently and he’s had to pick up the slack at home while mom recuperates from chemo. But that isn’t the worst of it. What’s worse is the nightmare…the same one he’s been having since his mother started chemo. The one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming.
And then one midnight a monster calls. Not the one Conor’s been expecting. Not the one from his nightmare. This one is different. It wants the truth.
Can Conor face the truth and rid himself of the monster? Or will he be haunted forever?
Much like Hugo Cabret, the artwork adds another dimension to this horror story…or is it so horrible?
