The ORCA committee also needs your help suggesting books to be considered for next year. This Nomination Form is open through the end of December for any students or adults who work in an Oregon school and/or library. All students in grades 3-12 who read or listen to at least two of the books will qualify to vote in March-April, 2024. What makes a great nomination? The ORCA Committee strives to select well-rounded lists featuring books that are of high quality and interest to their readers and represent diversity in perspective, authorship, and content. Books can be part of a series, but ideally, it will be the first in the sequence. Additionally, the book must have been first published in the United States in 2022 and readily available.
