Join us for the hybrid Fall 2022 OYAN meeting, happening tomorrow from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.!

Where: Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE, Anderson Rooms A&B or on Zoom

Schedule:

10 a.m.-12 p.m.- Fall Workshop Focus: Rebuilding relationships as public libraries and schools work toward reopening and offering in-person options – a discussion with teen librarians, school librarians, and teachers.

Upcoming OYAN meetings and events

OYAN meetings are a great way to swap book recommendations, get help with your teen programs and services, and hear what other libraries around Oregon are doing for teens in their communities. Join us at one of our upcoming meetings or other events!

• Mock Printz: Saturday, January 20th, 12-4:30 at the Beaverton Public Library
• Winter meeting: Friday, January 26th, 11-3 at the Springfield Public Library
• 30-minute resource sharing activity during the OYEA award ceremony at OLA 2018 in April in Eugene; details to come
• Spring meeting: Friday, May 4th, 11-3 at the Tillamook Public Library

Find OYAN at our new Facebook group!

OYAN has long had a Facebook page, but based on conversation at the last membership meeting (which we’ll recap on the blog soon!), we’ve decided to transition to a Facebook group instead. Groups are at their best when lots of people contribute, so if you have a great program to share, a book to recommend, a project you want to collaborate on, or a question to ask, this is the place to do it!

Join us at Riverbend Brewing Sports Pub (within walking distance from the convention center) on Thursday at 5:30 pm for free snacks and the announcement of OYAN’s OYEA (OYAN You’re Excellent Award) recipient. Stick around a bit to talk books, libraries and anything else!

Riverbend Brewing is located at 2650 NE Division Street Bend, OR 97701.  it is about an 8 minute walk from the Riverhouse at the corner of Hwy 97 and Division St, across the road from the river.
